Just wanted to share some new work.  I've been busy working on some large scale equine oil paintings.  Some of these are from my own reference photos which makes it especially fun for me.  The painting I call, Big Red, is based on a photo reference by the amazing Karen Broemmelsick.

I also painted my arab mare, Abbey at liberty, in the pasture.  She, like most arabs, give a striking silhouette so was particularly drawn to this pose.  I want to work on the background a bit more but here is where she's at now.
