Alcohol Ink Wrap Card DIY
Alcohol Ink Wrap Card DIY
These are easy, versatile and FUN!!!
Items needed:
saran wrapcardstock
cut out silhouette images
alcohol inks
Yupo paper or
photo paper - I used some old photo paper for a photo printer that no longer worked so was a great way to reuse and repurpose old or obsolete photo paper.
I sprayed, dripped and drizzles different colors of the alcohol ink on to the paper. I then laid a piece of saran wrap on the paper and used my fingers to just move the ink a bit until I liked it.
This one has bubble wrap on it.
Let dry overnight.
The saran wrap can be removed once the ink is completely dry and the majority of ink does not come off when the saran wrap is lifted. In addition to the alcohol ink, I did a few of these using watercolors. I mixed ink and watercolors in all sorts of combinations. Just have fun with it.
Once dry, I then made cut out some silhouettes using my Silhouette Cameo 3. The craft cutter isn't necessary, just makes it easier to cut out many different shapes. I obviously like horses... and dogs... and cats.... but these would look equally as awesome as Christmas cards with reds and greens and a Christmas theme cut out.
